Band Requirements

COUNTRY MUSIC GUILD OF AUSTRALASIA
At the Pascoe Vale RSL (Since 1994)
40 Cumberland Road (Corner of O’Hea Street)
Pascoe Vale Vic 3044
Bands are required to provide their own PA, foldbacks, front of house speakers, microphones, stands and leads plus lights if you have them.

Alternatively, we can provide a Soundcraft Ui24R digital sound system with all the above items plus an operator to set it up and mix it via an iPad out the front for the special fee of $150. This system was used for the newer clips on https://countrymusicguild.com/band-videos

Please let us know ASAP if you wish to take up this PA offer so we can check availability and book it.

Load in door is right next to the stage in O’Hea Street, Pascoe Vale but the first to arrive has to enter by the main entrance in Cumberland Road, introduce yourself at the front desk, and walk to the back of the venue (The Weary Dunlop Room) and open the load-in door. Load-in time is usually any time after 5 pm.

The load-in door is required to be kept closed at all times – when not loading in. (RSL rules – not ours).

Hats are allowed in the venue room where you play, but not allowed anywhere else in the RSL. (RSL rules – not ours).

Start time: 8:00 pm (sharp) Finish time: 11:00 pm (no fake encores – just play through until 11:00 pm) unless Keith gives you the finger and says “one more”.

Bands are to play 3 sets of 45 minutes with a raffle in each break.

8.00 pm – 8.45 pm
9.10 pm – 9.55 pm
10.15 pm – 11.00 pm

The RSL provides free tea and coffee but no bar drinks rider.

We lease the room from the RSL and we fund the night’s entertainment with a door charge and two raffles.

Consequently, there is no door list. Band members and their partners have free admittance but everyone else pays at the door. The current admission price is $10 for visitors and $5 for Guild Members.

We take table bookings if there are 6 or more in the group.
