Older Gigs

Rough Cut returned for their second gig this year and after fixing some PA problems they delivered another great show.

Mark “Yorkie” Crossley, Mark Woolrich, Robyn Farrell, Neil Hobbs and Tony Patricks make up Rough Cut and they had a guest drummer for the last song in Bryan Derrick to allow Tony to get out front and sing.

Nadine and Craig

The Honkytonk Rockers turned up with a slightly different line-up and delivered a great night’s entertainment to an appreciative crowd.

Mark was on lead guitar duty with Adam and Beccy so Dwayne D’Cruz had the opportunity to shine on lead guitar. Newcomer and 16 year old Warren Rozario did a great job on bass and got to sing some lead vocal as well.

Joe Patterson and Shaun Lynch did their usual thing and it created an enjoyable night – with a difference.

The Con Artists became the Leo Artists when Con was too ill to perform and Leo Dalton stepped in instead.

Leo supplied the PA and his talents and it made for a great night. With four lead vocalists Leo Dalton, John Tippett, Steve Cross and Noel McMinn plus the pedal steel talents of Dave Moore splitting lead breaks with Leo it was a night out of the box.

The Moonlighters helped us out by being available at such short notice after the previous two bands had to cancel.

Geoff Wells (the birthday boy), Mark Smith, Jimmy Fewings and Greg Pedley put on their usual fine show much to the delight of the audience.

Rattlincane last played for us in September 2017 and it was good to have them back playing for us again.

They have a new EP almost ready for sale and they will be back again at The Guild later in the year.

Rene Diaz and Avalon trotted out some of the best traditional country music we have heard recently at The Guild.

With four vocalists plus Mark Warburton on lead guitar, Alan Percy on pedal steel and lead guitar, Tracey Davis on bass and Frank Dabaco on drums it was a great night.

Alan and Trace also performed classic country hits and hits from her CD “That’s The Way Love Goes”

Rough Cut like to pump up their style of country music and rattle the walls and this night was no exception.

The Dalton Gang pulled a good crowd and they were joined by Danny Stain towards the end of the night.

Stuie was under the weather and Leo referred to him as “Sickie” instead of Stuie. He almost sounded like someone else with his raspy vocals but he still put on a good show. A most entertaining night.

We had a full house for our final show for 2017 with the Dalton Gang and many guest artists performing.

The Dalton Gang (Leo Dalton, Helen Stewart and Stuie Lees) were the house band for the night. They were joined by Dave Moore, Norm Price, Michelle Gardiner, Karan Johns, Keith Green and the Salvation Army Brass Band (which also featured Stuie Lees). Click on any photo to enlarge it.
