The Palace Gypsies put on another fine show and Keith Green got up and sang with the band as well.
Despite the rain keeping a few of our regular crowd away it was a good night.

Moonee Valley Drifters – May 8
The Moonee Valley Drifters put on their usual great show with special guest Dave Cantrell helping out on steel guitar.
The band drew a great response from the audience when Michelle Gardiner got up and sang “Crazy”.
The Bakersfield Glee Club – April 27
The Bakersfield Glee Club made a triumphant return to The Guild after 6 years away and they were well received.
Darren Maxfield on lead guitar, Greg Field on fiddle and mandolin and Justin Rudge on bass – and all three provided the vocals.
Seamus O’Sullivan and Simon Edwards concentrated on pedal steel guitar and drums respectively while Con Anag mixed the sound.
They drew a good crowd and the rock ‘n’ rollers mixed courteously well with the line dancers and a great night was had by all. They will be back. Check out our Older Gigs
Rough Cut – April 20
Rough Cut returned for their second gig this year and after fixing some PA problems they delivered another great show.
Mark “Yorkie” Crossley, Mark Woolrich, Robyn Farrell, Neil Hobbs and Tony Patricks make up Rough Cut and they had a guest drummer for the last song in Bryan Derrick to allow Tony to get out front and sing.

Honkytonk Rockers – April 13
The Honkytonk Rockers turned up with a slightly different line-up and delivered a great night’s entertainment to an appreciative crowd.
Mark was on lead guitar duty with Adam and Beccy so Dwayne D’Cruz had the opportunity to shine on lead guitar. Newcomer and 16 year old Warren Rozario did a great job on bass and got to sing some lead vocal as well.
Joe Patterson and Shaun Lynch did their usual thing and it created an enjoyable night – with a difference.

The Con Artists – April 6
The Con Artists became the Leo Artists when Con was too ill to perform and Leo Dalton stepped in instead.
Leo supplied the PA and his talents and it made for a great night. With four lead vocalists Leo Dalton, John Tippett, Steve Cross and Noel McMinn plus the pedal steel talents of Dave Moore splitting lead breaks with Leo it was a night out of the box.

The Moonlighters – March 23
The Moonlighters helped us out by being available at such short notice after the previous two bands had to cancel.
Geoff Wells (the birthday boy), Mark Smith, Jimmy Fewings and Greg Pedley put on their usual fine show much to the delight of the audience.

Rattlincane – March 16
Rattlincane last played for us in September 2017 and it was good to have them back playing for us again.
They have a new EP almost ready for sale and they will be back again at The Guild later in the year.
Rene Diaz & Avalon – March 9
Rene Diaz and Avalon trotted out some of the best traditional country music we have heard recently at The Guild.
With four vocalists plus Mark Warburton on lead guitar, Alan Percy on pedal steel and lead guitar, Tracey Davis on bass and Frank Dabaco on drums it was a great night.
Alan and Trace also performed classic country hits and hits from her CD “That’s The Way Love Goes”
Rough Cut – March 2
Rough Cut like to pump up their style of country music and rattle the walls and this night was no exception.
Mark “Yorkie” Crossley, Mark Woolrich, Robyn Farrell, Neil Hobbs and Tony Patricks make up Rough Cut and they also trotted out some new songs. We could tell a new song was coming up when Yorkie put on his specs.
